A terrorist is no one’s freedom fighter.

November 27, 2008

Today at 7.30pm I was in my office which is bang opposite the Oberoi Hotel, around 8pm I was in Marine Lines and finally ended the night at a restaurant just a few shops ahead of Cafe Leopold..Yes, all places which were prime targets for today’s blast.

And now I am safe at home..safe and scared and angry and pissed off!!I am safe ,my friends are all safe …for today. Is this how we are supposed to live now? Thanking god for being alive each and every day.

Ironical indeed , that years ago when one old man felt discriminated against ,(he was refused entry  to one of the city’s grand hotels of the time,  as it was restricted to ‘whites only’) he went ahead and built one of the finest and grandest hotel of that time..And put a fitting silence to the issue.

More than a century later, a bunch of murderers, decided that they only way to get themselves heard, is to barge into this very hotel, among others, kill innocent guests and blow up the heritage building, the icon of Mumbai.

The news sounds so scary as if we need to think ten times before going to a public place nexttime.

Again govt was sleeping after Delhi, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Bangalore..as if waiting for something big to happen.

Homegrown terrorism is an alarming and very chilling idea. No country likes to believe that violent and armed insurgency and militancy has taken root in its backyard. Countries tend to put the matters at the back burner for as long as possible. India is ignoring the terrorists of RSS, BJP and Bajrang Dal for too long, and now it’s the time for the them to pay back.

@ Ghazala : and now it’s time for whom to pay back? pls clarify.
But I do know that the terrorists of RSS,BJP and Bajrang Dal have never crossed borders to kill people of neighbouring countries..
My post was not a blame game, nor have I put any religious angle to it.AS YET..But if terrorists originating from the middle east and pakistan continue with their mayhem,it won’t be long before even people like us,who consider themselves to be liberals, will be forced to rethink their philosophies

You got me wrong. I was referring to the fact that India should get its own house in order instead of pointing fingers at the neighbors. It did that thing after Samjhota express and other incidents, and now the whole world knows that it was carried out by RSS.

RSS is involved in insurgency in Balochistan province of Pakistan.

The point is that both countries have to get rid of hawks.

    regards

ps. I am deeply and genuinely saddened by the Mumbai attack and who knows the pain like terror than us, the Pakistanis?

Sigh..I just don’t know what to say more on this already talked about issue..I just hope these people rot in pain.
