Bollywood : I am catching up with you

March 13, 2009

Who else thinks that this whole homo-centric comedy ,started by Karan Johar and Shahrukh Khan ,is now done to kill,by Abhishek and John in all talk shows and then by Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan in the Filmfare awards.

Then again who feels that the Filmfare award shows are like one big family re-union re affirming that a family which sleeps together, stays together.

Who else thinks that Shahrukh Khan is the funniest person in real life, and is the smartest person to pick up the dumbest  scripts.Ever.

Who else thinks Ghajini was just another copied movie? Who else thinks Jiah Khan can’t act sick even if she had pneumonia? How come in the last scene Amir didnot forget to search his pockets for the photographs ,when by that time he forgot his nemesis’s name?He didnot have his camera / beeper  with him then.

Who else thinks of doing dirty things to Neil Nitin Mukesh . Well, you can .After his latest movie with Bipasha he so looks like a wannabe. After I saw him real life ,that too while watching Johnny Gaddar, I thought we had a connection. After his lame dance steps he is out of my book.

Has somebody killed Simi Garewal already? After the whole post Mumbai attacks debacle where she saw “pakistani” flags in the slums of Mumbai, she seems to have vanished.Good, that is one thing off my to-do list.

Who buys those expensive glossy magazines Good Housekeeping and Marie Claire ? If you do, how on earth did you land at this blog. And you, yes you, looking for  “north eastern cheap sex” hope you die of gonorrhea.

And before I forget ,yet again, this blog completes one year.Actually it completed a year on 19th Feb Remember how I was gung-ho about the blog crossing 100th post? And this time I completely forgot all about it till now. This is reason number n to not get married and/or have babies. You simply can’t have the first birthday party at Taj and two years down the line forget the kid’s name. Not acceptable behaviour for a good mother, Good Housekeeping will say.Or go overboard celebrating your first anniversary and by the third start screaming somebody else’s name in bed.

And now lets see what the latest statistics for my blog show –

Total hits : 21,447

Keep them coming.

i don’t think SRKs funny in real life. smart, yes. and i think he picks his scripts very intelligently. noticed how the movies flop, he doesn’t?

Woohoo! One year. Keep ’em coming missy. And no hints at ‘north eastern porn’ intended. 😀

And what about Saif tying up Kareena’s blouse eh?

Congratulations… I agree with you on SRK picking the dumbest scripts.. I just endured RNBDJ (Hope I got that right!!). As for Gajini I loved the tamil version.. although Aamir has done a good job and is one of my fav actors.. couldnt watch the hindi version.. really it was just a frame to frame copy!

You echo my thoughts on Ghajini (Memento was way too good) and Neil Nitin Mukesh (brown beard in the new movie!!Looks like a chimp!!). As for SRK, he knows too he is stuck with dumb scripts because of his whole affinity to the farah-karan-yash chopra circle. But a “Swades”, “chak de” comes our way at times and I wait eagerly for those rare bluemonic occurrences. As for Simi, it would be on the Hindi news channel for a day if someone has killed her after her famous views were aired post 26/11.

One year!! Awesome! I have 8 more months to go before I can celebrate my blog anniversary! Keep those fab posts coming. To say that I eagerly wait for your posts…would be an understatement. They are so wacky, witty…Awesome. Seriously, what funny pill do you take?

SRK is super smart but his choice of scripts defy logic. Would love to see him play some really intense characters. Enough of item songs with chicks half his age. Let’s see some really meaningful cinema.
And you are bang on about Ghajini. Full credit to Aamer for his performance but otherwise the movie was quite ordinary. Yet it is the all time highest grosser in Bollywood.
Congratulations on completing 1 year of blogging. This is my first visit here. Guess I have a lot of reading to do!
