My birthday wish list.

Dear Fairy GodMother

This year all I want is

1) A printer and scanner .Ever since I got laid off, the only time I terribly miss office is when I have to take loads of print outs or scan something. I also miss office when I fall sick and there is no office to bunk.No fun at all.

2)A nice table where I can work on my laptop ,and have all my books nearby. (So,a couple of days back I got a nice table with a pretty bookshelf on top and storage space on the side).Gone is the only barrier between me and my magnum opus.Damn you S

3)A make-up kit. A lone Kajal and a lip balm does NOT a make up kit make.What else do I have in there?An old Swiss knife (why? to kill myself on a bad hair day?),a dried up nail polish, two rubber bands , two boxes of unopened Chambor eye make up(A very bad Bday gift, years ago) and a Zippo Lighter Fluid.

Frankly, its not funny when your partner’s make up is better stocked than yours.Not unless you are dating Eddie Izzard.

4)A well fitting pair of jeans. Which need not be comfortable. Note to self ” Style and Comfort often take the roads opposite”.

5) A fitter and well toned self to get into point 4 above,without suffering from muffin tops and Michelin Man comparisons.

6) A sturdy phone resistant to frequent drops with great force.A similar crash resistant laptop.

7) In absence of above, an anger management course to prevent frequent throwing of phones and laptops. Done both last month. Thankfully, the phone was still under the warranty period. The laptop though was not that lucky and the hard disk crashed.

8) Books -of unknown authors (unknown to me atleast), books not on any best seller list . Self Help books will be used to line the garbage can.

9)A magic wand to turn me to this patient, determined and focused person.

10) Finally a dollop of talent will help.Just about any talent to earn my bread and butter.
